Paraguay: importer registration and emissions approval
Selected MADES emissions procedures for importing used passenger cars with combustion engines from Korea. Current age-rule exceptions, steering and registration requirements still need confirmation; eligibility for a particular vehicle is not established.

VUI registration includes private importers
MADES's used-vehicle emissions procedure requires importer registration and an account in the Single Import Window (VUI). The same procedure expressly applies to private and occasional importers.
MADES emissions approval before customs clearance
Under the MADES procedure, the vehicle undergoes emissions testing. A compliant result allows the approval certificate to be issued through VUI and customs clearance to continue. Our inspection in Korea does not establish this approval.

Vehicle information and purchase document
For the MADES emissions application, provide the international vehicle information sheet (Ficha internacional del Vehículo) and the commercial or pro-forma invoice.
Bill of lading
MADES also requires the shipping document (Conocimiento de embarque / Bill of Lading). These are the selected emissions-application documents, not a complete customs or registration checklist.

- The applicable vehicle-age rule and any importer-specific exception require DNIT confirmation before purchase.
- Steering configuration, current registration requirements and any damage-related restrictions remain under review.
- Current customs-entry arrangements, including any exceptional port approval, need confirmation.
- Vehicle-specific emissions limits, approved inspection providers, government fees, taxes, freight and transit times are not confirmed.
- The US$100 inspection is our service in Korea; it does not replace MADES emissions control, customs clearance or registration.
